the colour of your money

    Newer Older

Money, economic recession, personal depression, blue.

With the growing financial crisis, people are talking an awful lot about money. Even my friends are not immune.

This shot allowed me to use the blue crayon I was given for Photo5 in a way that I hope will be unique. The background is a rubbing of some Australian coins onto white paper. I then poured the contents of my piggybank onto it.

Lit with two Canon 430EX strobes. One directly above gelled CTB (more or less on axis). One top right, gridded and half CTO. Camera originally balanced for daylight, but fiddled afterwards to tweak the effect.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, and I suspect the others will be much better than I.
