I've been keeping my eye out for some males for one last attempt at balancing out my strangers a little. On my lunch break I walked down Chapel St for a while, passing up a few likely females, until I found this guy. He was walking along with this skateboard and said sure when I asked him for his picture.
The first thing I noticed was how much taller than me he was. I had to stand up on tippy toes to get an eye level shot. My first shot had a pretty glarey background, with reflections of the street coming from a store front window. Thankfully he was cool with me repositioning and shooting from the opposite angle which have us a 'Bulk Up' superman in the background. Mid way through my 5 or so shoots a guy walking past with a Canon 1D and L series lens bombed the shoot and took a couple of shots of his own.
I'm approaching the end of my 100 strangers. I began on November 30th and I will post my 100th stranger on March 9th. A few people have expressed interest in getting a copy of my project as a book so I'll be putting one together. It will contain both photos and the descriptions I've written alongside them, so it should be about 200 pages. If anyone out there would like a copy I'm happy to organise one for them. I'll charge whatever it costs me to get it done, which looks like it'll be about $80AUD including shipping. Let me know if you're interested by leaving a comment or sending me some flickr mail.
This is the ninety third portrait of my attempt at the 100 strangers project.
