These three girls were in the city for coffee and cigarettes. They hadn't seen the movie. Their venue of choice had been the ever so trendy Degraves Street, but one of them claimed to know a better place around the corner.
I greeted them as I crossed the road to intercept them with "Hello ladies". As I shot them I directed each to stand in a different position so that I could get three unique backgrounds, and some nice lighting. Once The shots were taken I handed out the last 3 cards from my wallet and thanked them for their time.
One of them got a bit excited and as we parted ways exclaimed "I'll put it on facebook!"
I'm approaching the end of my 100 strangers. I began on November 30th and I will post my 100th stranger on March 9th. A few people have expressed interest in getting a copy of my project as a book so I'll be putting one together. It will contain both photos and the descriptions I've written alongside them, so it should be about 200 pages. If anyone out there would like a copy I'm happy to organise one for them. I'll charge whatever it costs me to get it done, which looks like it'll be about $80AUD including shipping. Let me know if you're interested by leaving a comment or sending me some flickr mail.
This is the ninetieth portrait of my attempt at the 100 strangers project.
