Venice - Doge's Palace and Campanile (1908 Postcard)

This is the heart of the tourist area in Venice, in an old postcard. This view does not change much over time, except for the watercraft.

The Campanile, Baslica San Marco, Doge's Palace, and Prison are all there. The Arsenal may be at the extreme right. The view is from Santa Maria della Salute. Not much traffic on the Grand Canal back then.

The card has a 1908 postmark, but has nothing to do with foreign travel. It was sent by a woman in Rockport, Missouri to one in Craig, Missouri, about an upcoming visit.
