Looking north from the Empire State Building in 1965. Rockefeller Center dominates the scene. The complex of office buildings was built in the 1930s. The main building is 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 70 stories, 872 ft (266 m) high. Central Park is beyond Rockefeller Center. The Hudson River is at top left, and you can see the towers of the George Washington Bridge. The Empire State Building observatory is 1,050 ft (320 m) above street level.
