Williamsburg - Carter's Grove

Carter's Grove was built in 1750-1755. by Carter Burwell, a grandson of Robert "King" Carter. It is near Williamsburg, Virginia. The house was rebuilt in the 1930s. Robert Carter was probably the richest man in Virginia in the early 1700s. He accumulated at least 110,000 acres (170 sq mi., 450 sq.km.) in Virginia's main agricultural areas.
