Visby from Ship

A general view of Visby from the cruise ship Maasdam. St. Maria Cathedral is the prominent building at left center. The tower just to its right is Dalmansporten. If you look closely above the second building in the harbor, you can make out the ruins of St. Katarina. The ruined tours of St. Drotten and St. Lars are left of the cathedral and below it, respectively. This photo is geotagged with the approximate location of the ship.

Visby harbor is small. Only the smallest cruise ships can dock in the harbor. One is at far right. The Maasdam anchored offshore, and passengers went to Visby by tender.
