Collecting rocks - Favorite

Photo by Chik Rini (Press Officer, Leuser International Foundation)

Two girls carry buckets on their heads full of gravel collected from the dry river to sell to traders. This is the livelihood of a number of women and children who live along the Samadua Aceh Selatan river embankment. Destruction of the forest near their village eliminated the water source that supported their daily lives.
