great shot I like the angle. it looks as if it was not going to make it under the bridge at all!

....from that angle, Ernezto, it did look as if it wasn't going to clear. But, as I'm sure you know, the bridge was clearly high enough!

Thats just a little bit bigger than the Container ships we get in Liverpool docks at present. Hopefully we'll see these Panamax vessels when the new dock is built!!

...and, Mark Holt, I hope they'll occasionally be filled with goods manufactured in the USA and you'll return them here with goods make in the UK. Thanks for the visit and the fav, my friend.

This is such a cool photo of a freight ship. I can't even imagine how many freights can fit on top of one of these ships. If I was going to be shipping like this I would want to know what ways they keep the containers in place. I would worry so much about rough water knocking them off the boat. yamatoamerica.com/en/business/logistics/index.aspx

I have heard, and been told, that thousands of containers a year are lost into the oceans every year due to rough seas all over the globe, particularly in the primary international shipping lanes.
They are are significant contribution to pollution of one type or another of our oceans.
