Quarry Rocks

As ever, a view on black really helps.

A return to a favourite local spot of mine here. I actually shot this in the afternoon before the previous post. Like two different worlds. I had a chance to run down to this place for an hour, and tried out some long exposures whilst the waves were big. I have a few shots of this comp from various conditions, and although i really like one of the B&W versions, I had to lighten the image quite a lot and was never happy with it being 'pushed' like that. I made an effort here to get the exposure just right in camera so that no real processing was needed. All I did was a levels adjustment.

I cropped to 4x5 due to the uneventful sky and to push the focus on to the rocks more. I also just like it :)

Have a great weekend and Half term. Thanks for looking.
