Another one from last night. The rounded rock shapes really suit B&W conversions I think. I liked the simplicity of this one, just rocks, waves and sky. The wave created a splash that can be seen when viewed larger. I could have gone for a quicker shutter speed to freeze the action, but liked the misty quality to the rocks where the wave goes over them.
I had to race up and down these slippery rocks as big waves came in every so often. No matter how many hours I have sat gazing at the water, watching waves come in and out, I am still amazed how one big one can just totally wipe me out. I got completely drenched within 5 minutes of being here! Doh...I now pack a spare pair of socks in my camera bag. That tells the story in itself. Someone on the cliff was watching me and laughing slightly disconcertingly. I am glad I amused them, and did have a chuckle to myself too.
I tried various feels for this shot, from high contrast to low, but felt this hit the mark somewhere in between. Anyway, I hope you like it and thanks for looking. All comments are welcome, so say what you think :) (I would rather not know the thoughts of some of you actually :)
