The Jump Off

Before heading out for a surf over the weekend I quickly captured this image. It is something I had visualized at this location for a while so it was great to capture it.

Great composition, likely just how you visualised it.. Love the wave peeling in and the white water lines.

Amazing capture Luke. Great capture of the foreground water and background wave. Wonderful light and the surfer adds real interest. An all round stunner mate!

Hey mate, just curious, how did you get the surfer to remain sharp? Did he just stand really still?

    14. Luke Austin 33 months ago | reply

Jarrad I saw the surfer approaching to head out for a surf and as I know this is the best jump off point to paddle out I composed took an image without him in frame to allow for the slower shutter speed then another image as he entered frame with a higher iso and shutter speed to suit. Hope that all makes sense :)
