THE TWIN FALLS of the UPPER AHA RIVER --- "PHANTOM FALLS" (L), and SHI-GE-RAN-FAA FALLS (R) -- One is Temporary, the Other Never-Ending
Two different rivers from two different valleys drop their very-different waterfalls into one pool. You never know what you'll find when poking around the jungles of Okinawa.
This is a Quick video of the two Falls where our boat dead ended on its river run into the Jungles of northern Okinawa. The more delicate falls on the LEFT will fade away after a month of no rain, while the stronger one on the RIGHT will continue as is !
These falls are on US Marine Corps Base CAMP GONSALVES : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Gonsalves
Access is normally denied to this nice bit of nature, and I had to get permission from, and be accompanied by Government reps at the National level :
Many thanks to these Directors for giving me guided access to the falls, and to the US Marine Corps for allowing some leeway for those documenting Okinawa's natural wonders along the shared borders of their Jungle Warfare Training Center.
