A BEVY OF LITTLE BUNNIES in OLD JAPAN
I raised my three daughters in Japan. Over the years, I watched them dance in little bunny-ear hats and other kimono'd get-ups for various Nursery and Kindergarten plays, not unlike the scene in the photo.
The name of their little country school was Kohitsuji En --- "The Garden of Little Lambs". They never dressed up like sheep, though.
In homage to my daughter's Half-American, Half-Okinawan, Half-Japanese, Half-Bunny-Rabbit days, I post this old orphaned photo from the 1920s-30s.
My daughters have since grown up, and are scattered around the world. However, they are still known to wear a Kimono now and then --- minus the Bunny Ears ~ ! :

Photographer unknown. Nice catch, and nice contrasts. Seems to be an unpublished personal photo made just for the parents. Without copyright. Original photo now in the public domain.
