I made this for a friend of mine. It is really the first time I have used fresh flowers on a cake (except for one wedding cake where the flowers were already made into a topper). So I didn't really know what I was doing. Overall it was pretty easy and fun! The cake is iced in swiss meringue with piping. I could use a little more practice with the piping, but it turned out OK. I was inspired by a cake created by Amber McKenney.
