Osechi-ryōri Panorama

Panorama of an osechi-ryōri (Japanese New Years foods) display (made up of fake, wax displays) at a large department store in Sapporo, Japan. This food is apparently considered luxurious, zoom into a price tag on one of the boxes (about 97 JPY to 1 USD when the picture was taken) and you'll see the boxes carry a very luxury price...

People aren't supposed to take pictures in department stores (actually, it depends on the department store) but as an obvious foreigner, it was a lot easier for me to do so as I'm not expected to understand all of the rules. And, the people whose job it is to stop barbarians such as me aren't sure I'd understand Japanese (I would understand if they told me to stop and would do so) so they figure it isn't worth the trouble. The nominal reason given for not taking pictures is it may violate copyright law in Japan. The probable actual reason is to prevent rival stores from researching pricing data.
