70th B'day Cake for Da

Bit of a rescued disaster. 6.30am to make the cake (Tasi's no fail rich fudge-y chocolate cake) slight fail in that it is so densely chocolatey that it didn't cook all the way through. Plan was to make Nigella icing for filling, and swiss meringue butter cream for outside. Nigella's - perfect. Buttercream - not so much. Nigella's icing to the rescue - much swapping of layers, improvising and smoothing. All toppped by the Simpsonized Dad. Swirly chocolate and silver cachous a compromise on the original failed buttercream vision. Looked good but. Tasted better.
