Leeds, Neville Hill West.

Just over a month old English Electric Type 3 Co-Co No D6740 is seen departing from Neville Hill Up sidings after detaching some wagons from 4M52 the Hull to Manchester fish train.


Built by Vulcan Foundry (Wks No EE2903/VFD619) delivered to 50B Hull Dairycoates on 1st June 1962, reallocated to 55C Healey Mills on 11th October 1969 she became 37040 in February 1974, further reallocated to Tinsley 09/1984, Motherwell 05/1987, Cardiff 05/1992, Stratford 09/1997, Stewarts Lane 01/1996, Eastfield 09/1997 and finally to Toton 11/1998 she was placed in store on 29th February 2000 and withdrawn on 30th June 2005, scrapped at Booths of Rotherham in April 2006.
