A Time to Sow
All through spring, I resisted the flower shots; preferring instead to wait for summer to begin and the heat to take its toll. Now all I've got is this one, tired and withering. And yet I still find it beautiful. Even as the petals curl and fall, it delivers its most precious gift of all - the promise of the next generation. When spring returns it will be born again a hundred times over. And maybe, just maybe, I won't wait too long to capture it.
