Chieftain - unidentified diecast badge (1950’s / 1960’s)

Anyone recognise this badge?

My first thoughts were it is a promotional badge that came with a diecast toy and was wondering if it had any connection with Lone Star toy products? Lone Star was a British toy manufacturer best known for their range of diecast cap-firing guns and sets of painted toy figures. I trawled the internet but found nothing to substantiate my hunch.
