The Last Y7's on Parade!

Preparing for an early morning start at Beamish Museum are what's thought to be the only two survivors of North Eastern Railway's Y7 Class of 0-4-0T shunters. This class of shunter was built by NER for local working between about 1890 and 1920.

985 was built at NER's Darlington works and 1310 at Gateshead. Both worked much of their lives at Tyne Dock.
