Spitting Spider (Scytodes sp, male, F. Scytodidae)

I was happy to find this adult male Scytodes wandering amongst ice plant debris.


From the posterior region of the enlarged venom glands, scytodids secrete a glue-like substance that is "spit", with venom, from the chelicerae. Neat!
