Project 365 #64: 050311 I Told Her Straight
Laura said to me this morning: "what plans do you have for today?" Well, I knew that she'd been after some trousers and the place that she likes most for that is Marks and Spencer.
We had a bit of a discussion about when we could go, and with a view to the things I needed to do today I decided to tell her straight. "If you're waiting for me to say 'we'll go now' that's not going to happen". Or words to that effect. Sometimes you just need to draw a line in the sand.
Anyway, half an hour later I took this.
It's a good story, but it doesn't really reveal what happened. It turned out that what I had planned for the morning I could do equally well in the late afternoon (in fact it worked out better) so a restructuring of the day once I'd thought about it made a lot of sense.
This M&S is the one in Warrington. It might seem excessive to drive ten miles down the M62 when there's a shop in the City Centre, but neither of us like the M&S in town AT ALL, and so we tend to go either for Warrington of the fabulous one in Salford which houses all the clearance stuff. Laura loves going to see shows at The Lowry Theatre as we always seem to come back with clothes. :)
