Omaha Beach

Omaha beach is probably the most famous site of the of the Normandy landings of WWII (the other being Juno, Gold, Sword and Utah beaches). Today a gorgeous natural place, little remains on the beach itself of its bloody past (the american cementery is pretty nearby though). I took this picture atop the remains of German bunker that oversees a good portion of it.
