This shot marks a happy moment for me. As I began my photo scout that morning, clouds and drizzle frustrated me down in the Mammoth Lakes area. I decided to take a chance and drive up past Mono Lake and into a couple of canyons I'd heard about; Virginia Lakes and Lundy. I began my climb into Lundy Canyon in the drizzle with grey clouds hanging low over me head. Then, just as I approached to the top, the sun burned through and I found this scene. The rest of the day was beautiful.
