Century 10 Theaters San Jose, California

1171 North Capitol Avenue at Berryessa Road

Opened in November 1988,this was the largest multiplex built in the area at the time. The 60,000 square foot theater cost $3,369,000 to build and has a 669 space parking lot. It closed in 2009, in favor of the newer Century 20 Megaplex at the nearby Great Mall in Milpitas.

Prior to the theater, the site was home to the Berryessa School, the first in the Berryessa area. All the school buildings but one were torn down, that building is historical and could not be torn down. It now sits in the parking lot of the closed theater and is used as offices.

Not sure what this theaters feature holds now, either it will become another theater, be converted to some non theater use (church, etc.) or will be torn down.
