Lest We Forget

This memorial is dedicated to those from Goderich, Ontario who gave their lives in the First World War.


They faught in battles at Ypres, St. Eloi, Mount Sorrel, The Somme, Courcelette, Vimy Ridge, Hill 70 and Passchendaele.


It was erected in 1924 by the Canoe Club and citizens of Goderich. This memorial was placed facing east, facing the street where the soldiers marched to board the train to their training. The names of those who died during World War II and the Korean War were later added.
