CHRISTMAS IN SECOND LIFE
Holidays are exhausting and especially with the added activities in Second Life. So many parties and events are taking place now with holiday themes and trying to figure out which ones to go to is very tough! I want to go to all of them!
We haven't had much time to explore lately because of The A List activities and sim building, but we seem to be able to grab a couple hours here and there.
Santa Claus was in full regalia over at Holidays at dAlliez Winter Wonderland. A completely donated sim for the Second Life community, dAlliez has given us a simple but sweet sim with Santa, skating, snowball fights (Xavier cheats!), making snow angels and more. Serene and peaceful, we joyfully explored this sim... a beautiful place for couples and good friends.
A brief stop at Salsa y Boleros will also recharge the romantic spirits with a ballroom dance.
Another great romantic setting, is the initmate club at MMAC, The Jazz Link. You can catch DJ VJ Shojo there with jazz on Sunday nights.
We also went by to say hi to friends at Give Me Space club, a fun club with just the right party music for a great time during the holidays. Take your buddies for a fun party night.
I had to show my angel, the beautiful Creative Fantasy that Julia made. It is like a dream... purity, light and fantasy is Julia's speciality. I loved this place. Yes, it is a shopping site but oh, so dreamy. We stayed there skating and exploring the beautiful castle.
Candy Cane Lane is a classic setting of tin soldiers, brick pathways lined with candy canes and Christmas shopping, too! Very sweet, very christmasy.
Opera Joven was having a special event at Bosamba with tenor Brent Renard. Glorious! Pucini streaming live into Second Life! To hear his voice live with all the nuances, I just loved it. Those of you who have never listened to opera, don't let it scare you. It's music and that's all you need to know.
Live music always makes me think of Max Kleene, but lately, we just haven't been able to see him or the sim is already full by the time we try. We found Ichi Kamachi, though singing at Phoenix Live. A beautiful singer with a throaty voice, singing jazz and blues and other contemporary tunes. So if you can't get into a Max show, look for others.
The best party so far was the invite from DJ ETC Dollinger at Villa de Ravello. Outdoors below the mansion, the ice pond had all the Christmas decorations with a train going around the tree. All of us were in ballgowns or party dresses dancing to the great tunes of DJ ETC and DJ Marian. Wow, I had a blast at this party. Electronica to salsa, we danced it all!
It's Holiday time... time to PARTY!
