3Lbs of Butter
One more reason for me to love Christmas time. My Mom goes nuts with the baking. Before she made all these cookies I was over her house she had 3 lbs of butter in the fridge just waiting.
The Pizzelles are to kill for. My Grandmother used to make them anise flavored for herself because she was the only one who liked them. My mom used to make what accounted to a case of Pizzelles because my brother and I could not stop eating them. She's tried to hide them to no avail.
The little cheesecakes are also a big favorite around my house. Usually don't see that one too often. I don't care much for the cherries though.
The lady fingers are my personal favorite after dinner I usually like to stack up on those.
My mom could have been a great baker. When I was a kid she had a little side business making wedding cakes. All my homemade birthday cakes looked professional. She's said if she loses her job at the Post Gazette she'll go work for Panera.
