Wasp Spider

The Wasp Spider is a comparatively newcomer to British shores and arrived from the European mainland around the 1920's. It's sparcely distributed in the south of England but is gradually creeping north. These shots were taken at Hen Reedbed in Suffolk where they were noticed for the first time in 2007. August is the best time to get a glimpse of them.
