I found this one on eBay. I've been looking all year there for CLP things.

wow, it is awesome to see pics of what it looked like originally since I had never been there when it was operational.

Every summer for about 10 years in the 50's and 60's my family would vacation at Chippewa Lake. We would rent a cottage for 2 weeks at a time. It was great fun. I remember the first summer the Slide that is on the post card was added to the park. It cost $.15 to ride and I rode it at least 10 times. I would like to find old Chippewa post cards, I certainly sent several from there over the years. John Clarke

Thanks for sharing these memories. I had a chance to visit the CLP grounds in the spring of 2009 when they opened them to the public for tours. It was great to hear stories about the park from people who were visiting then.

I worked at the park 69 70 & part of 71 for Cal Danials. De Geronimo had just taken over the park From Parker Beach. It was a blast with all the summer girls who came to the park.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I have a Medina "Gazette" pictorial article from '70 that shows this era. I wish I could have gone to CLP when I was growing up, but by then all we had was Geauga Lake and Cedar Point.
