Louisbourg-09017 - Louisbourg Lighthouse
PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.
Just below the lighthouse that is there today (fourth one) are the ruins of the round lighthouse that was there during the sieges.
The first lighthouse was built in 1734. A fire in 1736 destroyed the lantern but the stone tower was unharmed.
A new lantern was installed in 1738 on the original stone tower.
