As I mentioned yesterday, I had wanted to get out to the coast for some shooting this weekend. I made it out this evening and it was just superb. There were some clouds in the sky, and because I made it pretty far south I didn't have to deal with any fog. Anyway, as I rolled up a lot of families seemed to be out enjoying the last hour or so of sunlight; many of them were packing up, but as you can see off in the distance, some were hanging around. I really lucked out, both with the spot and with the clouds.
With this photo I'm doing three things I almost never do:
1. Have a completely blown out sun.
2. Upload more than one photo in 24 hours.
3. Upload within three hours of shooting.
Oh well, you have to change things up every now and then :)
I hope everyone's weekend was great and that the week ahead is a good one.
Note: My trip to Davenport Beach yesterday evening gave me the *perfect* story for tonight's (July 22, 2013) episode of Trey Ratcliff's Variety Hour, on which I will be a guest. The topic: Common Photography Mistakes. Tune it at 7pm Pacific Time by going to www.StuckInCustoms.com/ OR if you're on Google+, here's the event info: plus.google.com/events/c2u7n2dstfvoom4h4qafd7u3btk
I do a lot of HDR processing (although this particular shot isn't HDR). All of my HDR photos can be found here.
I shoot with a Nikon D800. All my D800 photos are right here.
