WD900-FD-ADAPTER
The Western Digital WD9000 Pascal Microengine, and its WD900 main board, use a DC37S connector for the interface to floppy drives. This adapter board plugs in to the DC37 connector, either directly or via a DC37 male-to-female cable, and has industry-standard 50-pin and 34-pin drive headers for 8-inch and 5.25-inch or 3.5-inch drives (but not both kinds simultaneously).

A PIC microcontroller is used as a digital one-shot timer, with 16-switch-selectable settings, to support head load or motor spinup timing via the HLT signal on the interface.

The design will be made open-source as soon as I have an opportunity to test it. A limited number of bare boards are available should anyone need one.
