Atari 800 composite video output to projector
I kludged up a composite video cable to hook up an otherwise untested Atari 800 to an Epson home theater projector. I don't presently have any software for the Atari, not even the BASIC cartridge, so I was only able to test the built-in Memo Pad program.
Screen is approximately 317 cm diagonal. Atari active video (blue background) is approximately 187 cm by 135 cm. Nerd, approximate height 180 cm, included in photo for scale.
The projector does not have S-video input; I'm considering obtaining an S-video to HDMI converter, which might yield sharper video, particularly with more colorful displays.
My top priority for acquiring software for the Atari 800 is Star Raiders, the first game I ever played on one, back in 1979. I expect it will be great playing it on the big screen.
