This shot of the Mesquite Flat Dunes in Death Valley was taken around sunset. Clouds obscured the sun and the cool colors of the evening light altered the color and look of the dunes as you can see here. I like the effect so I didn't try to correct the colors other than to warm up the image a little bit.
As you can probably tell, I was fascinated by the bushes and other vegetation that grow in these shifting dunes. Hard to imagine surviving in that environment, but they thrive and continue to grow.
