Mint Juleps (Step 3: Add Bourbon + Sugar)

The small amount of mint I planted at the beginning of the summer has blossomed into a full-on bush. I decided to make my own mint juleps to have on hand.

 

Step 1: Pick the mint.

Step 2: Fill a mason jar with mint.

Step 3: Add bourbon and 1/3 cup sugar.

Step 4: Refrigerate for 4-6 weeks, until the sugar is dissolved and the bourbon has been infused by the mint.
