A Prayer for healing. . .
I have a delightful friend, Lisa D. who used to sing in choir with me. She has one of most lovely, pleasurable soprano voices I've ever heard. She has many other fine qualities: a fun, playful sense of humor, and a social I.Q. that matches my sweet wife's.
Yet the predominant love in her life is singing. Unfortunately, she has developed a medical problem with her vocal chords that render even speaking painful. This would be like a painter loosing his hands, or a dancer his legs.
Hopefully she is on the mend, and will be able to return to singing melodiously and with passion.
For Lisa, and those like her who have lost a supremely important part of their lives, a prayer. . .
