Historic Strauss Heel-Trunnion bascule bridge in Aberdeen, Washington. The bridge carries U.S. Hwy 12 (Wishkah Street /Olympic Hwy) over the Wishkah River. The bridge was designed by the Strauss Bascule Bridge Co. of Chicago Illinois was constructed 1924 by the Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging Company. The bridge is a Strauss Heel-Trunnion Bascule bridge.
