They used Timberline Lodge in the movie The Shining to depict the Overlook Lodge. None of the interior scenes were this lodge.

A lot more snow than what I encountered last June. Nicely done.

So I was just up at Timberline for the first time with a camera and thought I could not get an angle on getting the lodge with the mountain in the background. Almost all the best shots I have seen were taken many years before the addition of the newer buildings. But here you have it perfectly. I'm thinking you must have hiked down the ski slopes to the left quite a ways to get this shot. As are all of your shots, it is wonderfully conceived and put together.
