Elephant approaching

In general I find repetition fairly tedious like going to work every day. However something’s I would never tire of repeating one of these being close to elephants. They are such extraordinarily beautiful creatures.

We were sat in our jeep in the Amboseli Natonal Park watching a large group of elephants on our left when we saw a single elephant approaching from the right. He was walking purposefully towards us obviously intent on joining the group. He could easily have diverted round the front or rear or the jeep but he just kept heading without hesitation towards us. There was then a brief stand-off while he looked at us now elephants always win these encounters. We reversed the jeep about 12 feet the elephant then walked past us giving us a look of pure disdain. The only sound was a light grunt and the sound of those feet hitting the dusty ground .....just magic.

I will be away this weekend so catch up with you guys next week Have great weekends
