my gold crowntail

in my light, this dynamic guy is a fine example of a gold crowntail betta splenden. a bit rare also... very very hard to find a gold ct crown tail around here in the local bay area aquarium fish stores.

so many of us have had or still have these as aquarium fish in our homes... they make such awesome and lovely pets!

there has been an evolution explosion with breeders selectively breeding them for distinct looks. a master breeder once told me he sold one of these to someone in new york for $500 usd. a pair for $1,000 usd. this was during the earlier days when no one had seen anything like this, other than the typical veiltail variety. today we have crowntails, deltas, double tails, halmoons, halfmoon plakats, plakats , wild types and veiltails.

now it is Oct 2012 and I try finding these but have had no sucess to find a female to breed from

or a pair. will keep on the search for them!!

if anyone can find them please contact me!!!
