I'm posting this retread of "come to my window" for the Thursday Retread group. It was posted originally on May 19, 2007. Not sure if I like the difference 2 years has made or not but I do love New Mexico and that's what I hope comes shinning through. It's rich colors and textures immediately felt like home to my soul. I'd like to be revisiting it instead of simply retreading it.

Please tell me which image you prefer and why to help me decide . . .

OH...me, too! Don (sellinstix) sent me to this one and it's all my favorite things about NM...the adobe, the turquoise, and those fabulous old ladders. ;-) And, btw, I like this one much better than the original.

I like this version better because of the warmer and a little richer tones - I think that brings out the "flavor" of New Mexico that you describe. :) Beautiful work, Debbie. :)

Both are really good in their own right. It's hard to choose! But I have to say I love the way the blue color "pops" in the retread! : )

I think the original actually captures the feel of the place better... bright sun, a little washed out and dusty... the retread makes it all a bit too lush, I think.

classic nm image done well. I definitely prefer the saturated color of the retread over the original.
