Boston Strong Question Mark Installation at Grove Hall BPL Branch 9-27-14
Photo of the Boston Strong? art installation by Jason Pramas at the Grove Hall branch of the Boston Public Library in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, MA, USA on September 27, 2014. Part of the Boston Strong? art exhibition by Shea Justice and Jason Pramas - a critical look at the lack of media coverage and public concern about the ongoing deaths of dozens of young people of color from street violence in Boston's working class communities of color every year when compared to the huge outpouring of concern and support for the victims of the tragic 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. By way of example of the scale of the crisis, fifty people - almost all of whom were under 25 years old and almost all of whom were African-American or Latino - died in street violence in Boston in the year between the April 15, 2013 bombing and the April 15, 2014 anniversary of the bombing.
