the smile of a second chance...
Peaked at 274 on Explore, thanks everyone!
This is Katty, a four year old orphan at the Casa de Esperanza orphanage in Honduras. I've gone to help out a few times this year and heading there this Friday (hence the change in my name).
So often, I see through these kids, though battered and bruised in their past, love on me and bring joy to my heart each and every day I'm there. Through spending time with them, I see how everyone deserves a second chance, whether from physical abuse, sexual abuse, living on the streets, being neglected by their parents or other horrid things. Everyone deserves to be given a second, or third or fourth change in life. If these kids can smile while playing with only each other in the backyard of a orphanage, what's excuse do we have not to smile?
Please no awards, your thoughts and comments are the best things you can give. Thanks.
