I've never really been accused of being an ambulance chaser, but even if I was this one would be a cinch to catch. It sits off a long driveway leading into a WWII-themed restaurant in Atlanta, the 57th Fighter Group (although now I think it is just called "The 57th"). The restaurant, complete with old bunkers and WWII memorabilia, sits in a little stand of trees right along the runway of Peachtree-DeKalb Airport, otherwise known as PDK. This particular ambulance, I believe, is a Dodge WC-54 3/4-Ton ambulance from WWII. I rarely shoot close-up wide angle images, other than landscapes, but I just couldn't pass this one up. Besides, it seemed fitting for Memorial Day. I'm sure a lot of soldiers' lives were saved by these old ambulances.
P.S. I think if you view Large you can actually measure the tread depth on that front tire!
