Two Siblings Times Two - Cabinet Card with Mirror

    Newer Older

Two sisters stand next to a large mirror which doubles the appealing pair. As a big sister myself I love the way the older girl rests one hand on the little one's shoulder and holds fast to her hand with the other. The photograph is by J. E. Daniel of Fort Worth.

It is one of three photographs I purchased today at an antique show.

Love this picture-- J.E. Daniel was my husband's great-great grandfather :)

That is interesting SparkliestOfThemAll. Do you know what years he operated his Fort Worth studio?

I know he moved from Georgia to Texas circa 1900. I just received "new" info on Joseph E. Daniel to add to the family tree last week and was doing a search on his photography studio which led me here.

More follow-up info: Joseph Eldridge Daniel (1855-1921) had a photography studio in Fort Worth on 610 Houston street at one time. His family eventually moved to South Texas after his death, but many years later, my husband, 3 daughters and I have ended up very close to his original studio!
