Charlotte Hulme, An Artist at Her Easel
I am researching the life of Charlotte Hulme, artist, teacher, and photographer and will be adding photographs and details as I learn more.
I have dozens of photographs by and about Charlotte to scan but I wanted to add this one that appears to be from the 1890s or very early in the 1900s that shows her at her easel painting a portrait of a nun. I am sure I have some of the photographs on the wall behind her. Since I am now trying to reassemble the photographs that belonged to her this and other photographs of her walls will help me to identify them.
This 3 3/4 X 4 3/4 inch print on a 7"X9" grey mount is one of three that I will post. All show free silver in the shadows but are full of wonderful detail.
I have started a set of the photographs that came from Charlotte's basement and will add to them as I do more research.
