Queen Anne's lace

Queen Anne's lace: The uncultivated form of the carrot, with broad round heads of tiny white flowers that resemble lace. Also called "wild carrot." Daucus carota, family Umbelliferae.

This series was taken last night at a friend's house, on her patio where these plants are growing up wild between the patio stones.

Handheld in early evening light with 20D and Canon 24-70mm f2.8 lens.
