This still looks incredibly contemporary. I love it.

It's a glimpse back in time to our contemporary roots. I was never able to see graphic design any other way, all from the days when I first started working at the drawing board (around 1955). I can appreciate and enjoy other directions, but this is the way I see when I design. I'm like a fly stuck in amber.

This is not a bad place to be stuck in :-)
It's amazing how fresh it still looks, compared to many other styles or directions in graphic design history.

Maryellen, I am wondering if you know where I might be able to get a high quality version of this picture. Did you get it from a book? I am working on a design that references this and I'd love to have a good image. Any help would be appreciated, as I've had no luck looking thus far. Thank you.
